Yazeed Sheqem joined Athena Infonomics in February 2026 as the Lead for the Middle East and North Africa, where he spearheads the firm’s positioning as a premier advisory on data, AI, and social impact. Concurrently, he serves as the Chief Growth Officer and Head of Business Development at TolaData GmbH, a Germany-based impact management software provider within the Athena Infonomics Group. Yazeed previously served as the Managing Director of TolaData from July 2023 to June 2025.

Prior to his current roles, Yazeed led the development of large-scale social impact initiatives across the MENA region for Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Dubai. This was preceded by a MENA-wide EdTech full-time consulting role with UNICEF MENARO in Amman. He has also operated as an independent consultant for prominent organizations including GIZ, GFA Consulting Group, Making Cents International, the International Rescue Committee, and ActionAid. Earlier in his career, Yazeed spent six years in the UAE as a bilateral trade advisor, business development manager, and management consultant. He later transitioned to Jordan to join Souktel Inc., a pioneering social enterprise in digital development and ICT4D.

Yazeed earned a Diplom (Master’s equivalent) in Economics from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, and holds an advanced professional degree in Urban Planning from the NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. He is fluent in English, German, and Arabic.
