Vikash is a Manager in Athena's Business Development team, and is based in Nepal. Since joining in September 2020, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening Athena’s research, evaluation, and business development efforts.

With strong analytical skills, he is adept in data management and in designing comprehensive systems and tools to conduct baseline, mid-term, and final assessments of projects. He has also worked on developing proposals, and possesses a strong background of knowledge related to the development sector in Nepal.

He has worked with USAID's Feed the Future Monitoring and Evaluation project, and on various other research and evaluation studies with agencies like WFP, UNICEF, Save the Children, Action Aid Nepal, SDC, VSO, and Oxfam.With a Masters degree focused in Rural Development, he has gone on to work on the sectors of education, health, agriculture, and on issues pertaining to rights-based approaches, GeSI and others. His key interests include ethical research, monitoring and evaluation, public advocacy, and business development.
