Vandana Sharma holds a postgraduate degree in Environmental Studies and Resource Management from the TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS). She joined Athena Infonomics in November 2024, bringing expertise in climate change, data-driven decision-making, and interdisciplinary research.
Vandana has worked extensively on climate change projects that intersect with health, livelihoods, gender, and agriculture. She has provided strategic and technical support to organizations such as the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), and the Rockefeller Foundation, enabling informed and evidence-based decision-making.
Her capabilities span monitoring and evaluation, research project design, analytical framework development, and the generation of actionable insights. Prior to joining Athena, she worked in the social impact space, contributing to climate-related investments and supporting both operational and strategic management functions.
Vandana has published research on climate risk analysis and has authored reports, articles, and op-eds exploring the complexities of climate change from a people-centered, ground-informed perspective.
