Prasaanth Balraj is the Associate Director, AI and Digital Transformation at Athena Infonomics, having joined the firm in June 2026. His work focuses on design, development, and scale-up of technology and AI-driven solutions that address complex public sector and development challenges across Asia and Africa.

He has worked extensively on strengthening health systems through artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and data-driven decision-making. He has led the development and deployment of nationally scaled AI solutions for Tuberculosis and Maternal Health, including predictive risk models, AI-powered screening tools, and automated diagnostic systems evaluated by leading national institutions and integrated into large-scale government programs. Beyond India, he has supported digital transformation and AI initiatives across multiple countries, including Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana, and Ethiopia, working closely with governments, implementing partners, and global health stakeholders.
