Kaustav Ghosal is a Consultant – MERL, Climate & Livelihoods at Athena Infonomics, specializing in climate change, natural resource management, livelihoods, and impact evaluation. With a Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, he has led multiple research projects, including the State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC), the Rejuvenating Watersheds for Agriculture Resilience through Innovative Development (REWARD) program, and the NRLM LokOS assessment.

Kaustav has extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative research, econometric modeling, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building. His work spans various international and national development initiatives, collaborating with organizations like the World Bank, GIZ, and the Reliance Foundation.

Proficient in tools such as STATA, SPSS, QGIS, and ATLAS.ti, he applies data-driven insights to inform policy and programmatic decisions. He has also contributed to publications on climate justice, gender issues, and monitoring frameworks for climate resilience.
