Ipsita is a Consultant in the MEL team at Athena, bringing four years of experience in impact consulting across strategy, project management, and research roles. She has worked on diverse thematic areas, including financial inclusion, agriculture, women’s empowerment, healthcare, education, skilling, and livelihoods.In her previous role at Samhita, Ipsita worked as a Research Associate, conducting impact assessments in areas such as financial inclusion, digital and financial literacy, skilling, and women’s healthcare.
Her role spanned the entire research lifecycle—from designing and implementing research frameworks to training enumerators, conducting field surveys, managing datasets, analysing data, and presenting insights through comprehensive impact assessment reports. She also contributed to developing and piloting innovative tools like the Women Economic Empowerment Index for the informal sector and conducted social audits and due diligence.
Ipsita is skilled in primary and secondary research, business development, project management, and stakeholder engagement.Passionate about climate change, human rights, financial inclusion, and sustainable agriculture, Ipsita holds a degree in Geography from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, and is a Young India Fellow (PG Diploma in Liberal Arts, Ashoka University). During her academic journey, she worked on several research projects through internships, coursework, and extracurricular activities.
Outside of work, Ipsita is an avid reader and traveller, passionate about maintaining physical and mental well-being through regular workouts and spiritual practices. A nature enthusiast, she loves spending time outdoors, reading, or engaging in meaningful conversations.
