Gitika Sharan is Head of Marketing and Strategic Communications at Athena, bringing expertise in brand building, strategic communications, and thought leadership. Before Athena, she led Marketing and Communications at Wadhwani AI Global, building the organisation's global voice around the use of AI for social impact, from thought leadership and content strategy to events and partnerships with bodies like UNDP, Smart Africa, and government ministries across the Global South.

She has worked across sectors and advised senior leaders inside complex global organisations, with a consistent focus on communications that reflect real outcomes. She holds a PG Diploma in PR and Corporate Communications from Xavier Institute of Communications, Mumbai, and a PG Certification in Digital Marketing and Communications from MICA and UpGrad. She was named to exchange4media's 40 Under 40 PR and Corporate Communications list in 2023.
