The AFDB needed to expand urban sanitation infrastructure across 14 blocks, initially planning a US$ 22Mn capital investment. This required high capital investment with $0.7M in annual losses, had limited impact reach and increased water consumption by 23%, straining resources.
Deploying EquiServe, a bespoke Athena digital decision-support tool, to inform targeted service optimization. Our insights helped enhance efficiency and sustainability, measuring financial and social returns on investments through data-driven modeling and scenario analysis.
